Stress has been a staple in our lives way before Ms. Rona entered our lives, but once that storm touched down, like a tornado, it ripped through our lives exposing our weak spots and causing us to no longer ignore our mental health. As a result, jobs were lost, the family became strained and relationships that we thought would last forever, didn’t… Even through the darkness, Health, Healing & Wellness believes there’s a light.  With a few helpful tips, you can stave off negative feelings and bring joy back into your life.

Tips for Gaining Joy

  • Meditate! Meditation is the best way to clear your mind and help sort out what’s pressuring you. It not only contributes to your mental health, but it’s great for your overall physical health. I know meditation might be challenging at first, but I have faith that you will master it so you can master those negative thoughts.
  • Stay in the moment and process the emotions you are feeling. A Lot of times all we want to do is forget, but giving yourself the time and grace to grieve and reflect is important to the healing process.
  • Set boundaries with family, friends, and social media. Putting your happiness first means learning how to put negativity in its place.
  • Find healthy distractions. Pick up that book you’ve been meaning to read, pick back up that old hobby that brought you joy or binge-watch your favorite tv show. Retraining your mind to focus on other things keeps the negative thoughts from using your mind as a playground.
  • Talk to a mental health professional/coach. You do not have to go through the darkness alone. If there is too much on your shoulders alone, please reach out to someone who can lighten the load. We want and need your contribution to this earth, don’t you ever forget that.

So, if you are ready to regain control of your happiness. Ready to feel rejuvenated, then let’s take that first step together!

Meet Coach Rhymia

Hi!! I’m Rhymia. I am Certified as a Life Coach, Relationship Coach, and Health & Wellness Coach for the last five years.

I was in my master’s program in marriage and family therapy when I attended my first life coaching course in Miami. I realized that I had more freedom to practice and coach people from a holistic approach.

” There is nothing better than seeing my clients blossom and glow as their lives improve. “

Many aspects of life can leave us unbalanced. My holistic practice is centered to help you regain balance, autonomy, self-love, and a sustainable lifestyle. I welcome you to take that leap with me.

It’s exciting to see the changes that last for a lifetime. Anything is possible when you invest in yourself!

Three things that people don’t know about me:

1. I am a sucker for romantic movies, especially anime!! It’s so exciting to watch.

2. I wanted to be a teacher when I was a child. I changed my mind as time passed, but sometimes I wish I was in a classroom to help with children’s development.

3. I dance at home like I’m in the club. Lol!! Hey, I love to dance. It is what I love to do most!!

Postpartum Blues?

The miracle of childbirth comes with a plethora of mixed emotions, let me guide you through it.

Has sadness entered your nursery alongside the baby?

Just know that you are not alone, around every one in seven women suffer from some form of “The Baby Blues”.

Some Common Postpartum Symptoms

  • Depressed mood (subjective or observed) present most of the day
  • Loss of interest or pleasure, most of the day
  • Insomnia or hypersomnia
  • Psychomotor retardation or agitation
  • Worthlessness or guilt
  • Loss of energy or fatigue
  • Impaired concentration or indecisiveness
  • Change in weight or appetite (weight change 5% over 1 month)

Tips for Postpartum Blues

If this sounds like something you are experiencing, as scared and as exhausted as you are, you do not have to go through this alone. Health Healing & Wellness, wants to see you at your very best so we’ve come up with a few tips to get you started on your healing journey.

  • If you can find a mommy support group. You’d be surprised how good it feels to know you’re not the only one going through tough times.
  • Do your best to get plenty of rest. I know you’ve heard the phrase, sleep when the baby sleeps; and you’re probably thinking how can I do that when there’s so much to do around the house! But the dishes can wait, the laundry can wait but your mental and physical health cannot!
  • Stay hydrated! You just gave some of your most valuable vitamins and minerals to a new human, make sure you replenish yourself.
  • Always follow your doctor’s orders! Remember they are medical professionals here to help and service you! You are not an inconvenience!
  • Don’t be afraid to reach out to your support circle for help. They say it takes a village to raise a child and nothing has been more true. The village is not only there for the child, but to support the mom as well. Utilize them, plus when you look back you’ll have so many memories with the people you love the most coming through for you during the most vulnerable time in your life.
